2010 Training Shirts

COME AND GET 'EM!

yes you are reading this correctly! It's January 8th - and the shirts are IN! I have plenty of sizes but don't wait, the past 2 years they have flown off the shelf – or table – or out of the back of my car. I recommend buying early and often because i am not doing a re-order this year.

Same drill for 2010
Saucony technical shirt - White
Gender sizing
Women’s - XS to XL
Men’s – M to XXL

$35 donation

Shipping to out-of-state teammates only (please add $3/shirt). Local folks, i will have them at group runs and meetings. I may even hand deliver but will only ship locally if absolutely necessary. If you are going to email me your request be sure to give me the gender – i’m not going to assume.

To answer your questions:

Will it make me look fat? No! White is the new black - well no, it’s not but it still won’t make you look fat. On the other hand, that chocolate cream donut you are about to scarf down that will make you look fat.

Will you ship it to me in Dedham, MA? No – come to a group run – be social – if it hasn’t killed me it won’t kill you.

Do they run true to size? I’d say yes, I guess. Gals - they do not run big.

Guys – I don’t know what size your wife wears – but here’s a suggestion, bigger is not better.

Gals – Don’t buy too big – you’re a runner and it’s the first month of the season. Baggy clothes are not flattering. If you buy too big, by the end of the season it’ll look ridiculous on you.

Guys – I don’t have smalls – no guy should wear a small. But if you are a small – get a woman’s XL – kidding, don’t do that – it’s kind of creepy. One more thing, don’t go snug – seriously, it’s a white shirt and no one wants to see that.

Can I try it on post-run pre-shower? No – that’s just gross. You can however, take the size you think you are and try it on after you shower and if it doesn’t fit exchange it.

Yes, these are some of question i’ve been asked over the last 2 years. Feel free to email me more ridiculous ones, i promise to post them – people like laughing at other peoples absurdity.

I think that’s it for me. Enjoy the shirt – this was supposed to be a 1 time thing back in 2008 to celebrate my 10th year running on the team but overwhelming demand has guilted me into keeping it going. For that i thank you from the bottom of my heart – there is no better feeling than driving on Storrow Drive in October and seeing someone running the river in the shirt! on last but uber important thing... i want to give a MAJOR shout out to my girl Martha - the most talented graphic designer on the planet - thank you! and when i say thank you i really mean i love you to death.

See you all Sunday!

PS – if you’re one of those people who didn’t pay me for last year’s shirt – by all means do not hesitate to double that donation this year.

Cool shirts! I'm trying to get to the Feb. runners' meeting and I'd like one so the folks in Central Ohio can see it, too! Are you going to be at that meeting? Let me know when you get a chance!

Hope you're well!
